Referenced to a letter emanating from the University of Cape Coast School of Educational Development and Outreach Institute of Education number IOE/CWP/101/V.2/4 dated 14th September 2022 addressed to All Principals Colleges of Education, Ghana, titled Payment Of Examination Fees For The First/Second Semesters Of The 2021/2022 Academic Year To The Institute Of Education By L400 Students,
The leadership of the Eastern-Greater Accra Sector of the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana on behalf of their constituents has registered their displeasure and greatest contempt for the part of the letter which communicates that LEVEL 400 students should make a payment of 370.00 Ghana Cedis for First Semester Examination Fees while these students never sat for any examination for the semester in question.
The leadership expressed they see this as a means to exploit the students in question until clarity is given on the need to pay the said amount in question for the first semester of the 2021/2022 academic year
However, They are calling on the National President of the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana, PRINCOF, Ghana Tertiary Education Commission, and relevant stakeholders to immediately clarify the matter in question.
