The University of Education Winneba (UEW) has announced the sale of admission forms for the 2023/2024 academic year.

Aspiring students can now purchase the forms and apply for various programs offered by the university. Below are the details of the admission forms and portal.

Admission Forms Cost

The University of Education Winneba has successfully uploaded the admission forms online onto the UEW admission portal. Prospective students can access the portal to apply for admission. There are four categories of admission forms, and the cost of each form varies as follows:

  1. Direct Applicants – GH¢200.00
  2. Mature Applicants – GH¢300.00
  3. All Post-Diploma Applicants – GH¢200.00
  4. International Applicants – $100.00

How to Buy UEW Admission Forms

Prospective students can obtain an application voucher from the post office or any of the following banks/sources: GCB Bank, Agric. Development Bank (ADB), Ecobank, Zenith Bank, Unibank, Fidelity Bank, Republic Bank, and VISA Credit/Debit Card. International students should use a VISA card.

How to Apply for UEW Admission Forms

To apply for the UEW admission forms, prospective students must follow the steps below:

  1. Visit the UEW admission portal HERE
  2. Log in with your voucher serial number and PIN.
  3. Fill out the UEW online application form and submit it online.

Admission Requirements

The UEW has different admission requirements for various programs, and prospective students must meet these requirements to be considered for admission. The admission requirements are as follows:

WASSCE / SSSCE Admission Requirements

WASSCE holders must have credit passes (A1-C6) in six subjects, including three core subjects (English Language and Core Mathematics) and three elective subjects relevant to the course of study. SSSCE holders must have passes (A-D) in six subjects, including three core subjects (English Language and Core Mathematics) and three elective subjects relevant to the course of study. Candidates awaiting the MAY/JUNE, WASSCE, and NABPTEX results can also apply.

General Certificate of Education (GCE) Admission Requirements

GCE applicants must have passes in three subjects, and at least one of the passes should be grade D or better. They must also have credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, and a Science subject (for non-science students) and an Arts subject (for science students).

Advanced Business Certificate Examination (ABCE) Admission Requirements

ABCE applicants must have passes in three subjects, and at least one of the passes should be grade D or better. They must also have credit passes in five subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, or Social Studies in the General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE).

Technical and Vocational Education and Training, TVET Admission Requirements

TVET applicants must possess Certificate II in three relevant trade areas awarded by TEU, NVTI, City & Guilds, and other authorized awarding bodies, in addition to NABPTEX Certificate II in lieu of passes in English and Mathematics. They must also have NABPTEX certificate II in relevant trade areas in addition to three credit passes in WASSCE/SSSCE
