Two teachers have been apprehended by the Dunkwa Police Department for engaging in examination malpractices at the Dunkwa Secondary Technical Centre in the Upper Denkyira East Municipality.
The suspects, identified as Albert Adu-Gyan and Yaw Adadai, were tutors at Peeble Calvary and Oxford Santech Schools, respectively.
Their arrest came about when they attempted to smuggle solved examination questions into the examination hall, aiming to provide an unfair advantage to their candidates sitting for the BECE.
With the support of vigilant invigilators and law enforcement officers, the police succeeded in apprehending the perpetrators before they could carry out their devious plan.
Upon inspection, two mobile phones and solved examination questions on two separate papers were discovered in their possession.
The authorities have condemned this act of malpractice, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the integrity of educational assessments.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has assured the public that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure a fair and unbiased examination process for all BECE candidates.
Following their arrest, both suspects have been remanded in custody pending further investigation.
