Technical and Vocational Education and Training(TVET) is attaining further footing under the oversight of Very Reverend Dr. Kwesi Nkum Wilson, the principal of Komenda college of education.
On 3rd August 2022, The College took delivery of a multi-task tractor to broaden its crop production.
In an interview with Coleman publications on that day, the Principal assured all the students reading TVET-related programs that they will be trained on how to operate the machine.

Dr. Wilson believes in helping to build educated, skilled, and confident students ready for the modern workplace and students who can start their businesses after college.
Given that, The College has rendered two days of intensive practical training for all the TVET students in the college as to how to operate the tractor.
Speaking with Coleman publications, the Unit Head, Mr. Patrick Ogoe, asserted that, Over the years, the TVET sector has faced many challenges, but as a vital engine to the country’s industrialization agenda, the college is committed to ensuring that students of the college have the practical skills necessary for success.
“Komenda College of Education believes TVET is key to the country’s industrialization agenda as it provides the manpower for practical skills necessary for its industrial drive, and we are exactly training our students to match that”, Mr. Ogoe inferred
The training officer, Mr. Raymond Atakpa from the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Accra, expressed excitement as to the readiness of the students to learn.

Adding that their readiness to learn is a sure sign of their hunger for practical training and skills.
Mr. Atakpa urged the students to erase the misconception they have about TVET, stating that, “TVET is one of the best areas to excel in life.”
