In a shocking incident that occurred on Tuesday, July 25th, three students from the Wa Technical Institute in the Upper West region were apprehended by the police for allegedly assaulting their housemaster.
The news of this incident came to light when the school administration filed a formal report regarding the violent assault on the teacher.
The housemaster, identified as Ishmail Musah Froko, was conducting a routine monitoring visit when he became the target of the attack within the premises of house two block at the Wa Technical Institute.
The severity of the assault prompted his immediate transfer to the Wa Municipal Hospital for urgent medical attention, as he had sustained severe injuries.
One student was apprehended on the spot for physically assaulting the housemaster, while two others were detained for attacking a fellow student who intervened to protect the teacher, who was being mercilessly beaten.
In response to this distressing incident, the principal of Wa Technical Institute reassured concerned parents that the situation was under control and that the safety of their children remained the school’s top priority.
