Teacher trainees across the forty (46) colleges of education have been waiting for an alerts from Students Loans Trust Fund(SLTF) concerning payment of their allowances.
Others are of the view that the allowances are cancelled, and yet to be made known publically. This is as result of their Seven (7) months unpaid allowances.
At the 26th General Assembly Held at Hohoe by the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana(TTAG), Jonathan Dzunu, The National President pleaded with government to speed up processes as the delayed in the payment of the allowances is causing a lot of challenges for the trainees and the colleges.
Information gathered by Coleman publications indicates some amount of money has been given to the student loan trust fund by government to disburse to the trainees.
Therefore, teacher trainees should expect payment for two(2) months arrears from Students Loan Trust Fund as they prepare to do the disbursement soon.
This arrears will be paid to all trainees including the first year students(level 100)..
