The Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) has called on the authorities of colleges of education to uphold the uniform policy in their institutions.
In a communique and resolution issued on September 25th, 2023, from their 27th General Assembly, TTAG stated that the practice of wearing uniforms in colleges of education should be maintained to regulate trainees and ensure discipline.

The debate on whether trainees should be allowed to wear attire of their choice in colleges of education arose with the inception and upgrading of training colleges to the colleges of education( B.Ed programmes).
Some colleges have already directed their students to wear their desired attires on specific days to lectures. However, TTAG’s resolution is stating otherwise.
TTAG believes that the uniform policy should be upheld to maintain discipline among trainees.

They are therefore urging the authorities of colleges of education to continue with the uniform policy to ensure that trainees adhere to the rules and regulations of the institution.
