The Ga West Municipal Education Directorate (GAWMED) has announced that newly recruited teachers who have not yet received their Staff IDs must submit a photocopy of their Ghana card to the HR Office for further processing by the Regional Education Office.

The deadline for submitting the photocopy of the Ghana card is Tuesday, 28th March 2023.

It’s essential for newly recruited teachers to comply with this directive to ensure accurate capture on the government’s payroll system. Failure to do so may result in delayed Staff IDs and other related challenges, which could affect their salary payments.

It’s important to note that this request is only applicable to newly recruited teachers who haven’t received their Staff IDs yet. If you’ve already received your Staff IDs, you don’t need to submit your Ghana card photocopies.

This request aligns with the Ghana Education Service’s (GES) directive to update personal data on the Ghana Integrated Financial Management Information System (GIFMIS) platform. All affected teachers are strongly encouraged to submit their Ghana card photocopies before the deadline to ensure an efficient payroll system.

Submitting the required document will enable the government to keep track of the teachers’ data and ensure that they receive their due compensation on time. So, it’s in the best interest of newly recruited teachers to comply with the GAWMED’s directive and submit their Ghana card photocopies as soon as possible
