Colleges of education in the country have been grappling with inadequate infrastructure, leading to the implementation of a double track system. As the first semester progresses, trainees in these institutions are currently on a break after completing the first phase.
However, with the second phase approaching, it’s crucial for students to be aware of the reporting dates and examination schedules for their respective levels. Here are the latest updates:
Level 100 Students:
Level 100 students are expected to report to their respective campuses for the second phase of the first semester from May 7 to June 2, 2023. During this period, they will be engaged in coursework and preparing for their end of first semester examination, which is scheduled from May 22 to June 2, 2023.
Level 200 Students:
Similarly, Level 200 students are also expected to report to their campuses with the first-year students from May 7 to June 30, 2023. They will be commencing the second phase of their first semester during this time and will be writing their end of first semester examination from June 19 to June 30, 2023.
Level 300 Students:
For Level 300 students, the second phase of the first semester will commence from July 2, 2023, and will continue until August 25, 2023. However, it’s important to note that Level 300 students will report to their schools of attachment for a 6-week micro-teaching practice from August 28, 2023. Their end of first semester examination is scheduled from August 14 to August 25, 2023.
Level 400 Students:
Level 400 students, who are currently undergoing their internship, will complete their program on May 5, 2023. Following this, they will proceed on a vacation from May 6 to June 2, 2023. They will then report back to their respective institutions to commence their second semester from June 3, 2023. The first phase of their second semester will last for 5 weeks.
