The National Teaching Council (NTC) has been named the second best performing agency within the Ministry of Education in Ghana.

This announcement was made during the 2023 Quarter 1 Breakfast Coordination Meeting and 2022 Performance Evaluation Feedback Forum at the Ministry of Education on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.

The independent evaluators assessed 14 agencies under the Ministry of Education on their institution-specific and common outputs and deliverables, as well as the implementation of their roadmap in line with the 2022 Performance Agreement with the Ministry.

The NTC stood out as one of the top performers.

Honourable Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, commended the NTC and other top-performing agencies for their hard work and dedication.

He also urged all agencies to focus on uplifting struggling schools by providing them with the necessary support and attention.

The Minister further charged agency heads to adopt a growth mindset for their respective agencies, rather than a fixed mindset.

This, he believes, will help them to continuously improve and achieve greater success.
