The Ghana National Service Scheme (NSS) has officially released appointment letters to prospective personnel (newly trained teachers), instructing them to commence their national service on November 30, 2024.
The service period is slated to end on December 31, 2024, as stated in the letters sent out to the selected individuals.
The appointment letters sent out by the Board and Management of the NSS convey congratulations to the recipients and inform them of their attachment to specific entities for fulfilling their national service obligations in accordance with Act 426.

Those selected under the subvented category will be serving in Ministries, Agencies, and Departments that rely solely on government funding.
During their service period, personnel will receive a monthly non-taxable allowance of GHc715.57, with the amount calculated based on the number of days worked at their assigned User Agency.

Supervisors at the User Agency will play a crucial role during the service period, as they are required to submit monthly Duty Assessment Reports on the assigned personnel.
These reports, duly commented on and signed by the service personnel, will aid in the processing of allowances and certification by the NSS at the end of the service term.
