According to the National Service Authority (NSA), about 5,336 trained teachers from various Colleges of Education have had their National Service registration put on hold due to their institutions’ expired accreditation status.

Out of the 36 Colleges of Education that submitted a total of 16,159 trained teachers for upload, only 14 institutions currently have active accreditation with the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), while the remaining 22 institutions have expired accreditation.

This was announced in a statement signed by the Director-General of NSA, Felix Gyamfi, which detailed the release of pin codes for the 2025/2026 service year.

The statement explained that out of the 9,082 trained teachers successfully uploaded into the system, 5,336 come from institutions with expired accreditation.

Consequently, these affected students will not be able to proceed with the registration process until their institutions resolve the issue with GTEC.
