In a concerning development, the national service personnel across the country are in distress as they continue to experience prolonged delays in receiving their monthly allowances.

The situation has become increasingly dire, with some personnel struggling to pay for even basic utilities due to the lack of funds.

Shedding light on this issue, it is worth noting that the last time service personnel were paid was for the month of May. Since then, no further disbursements have been made, leaving them in a state of financial uncertainty.

Adding to their frustration is the fact that the government has announced an increment in allowances. However, to date, they have not received a single penny in line with the promised increment.

This has caused a significant strain on their financial well-being and their ability to meet basic needs.

The service personnel are demanding nothing less than GHȻ2000.00 to be paid as arrears, reflecting the months of unpaid allowances and the promised increment.

The unpaid stipend has affected their ability to cover daily expenses and has even made it difficult for some to afford transportation to their designated duty stations.

Speaking to Coleman Publications, several personnel expressed their anguish and detailed the hardships they are currently facing.

They emphasized the urgency of the situation, urging the government to promptly release their outstanding stipends.
