
The Management of Komenda College of Education has taken significant measures to enhance the performance of their practicing Basic School, Komenda College Practice Basic School.
Their objective is to esnure it becomes one of the top-performing basic schools not only in the KEEA municipality but also in the entire country.
With this goal in mind, the Management introduced the Supplementary Educators program on July 17, 2023, selecting 14 final-year students to assist at the Basic School.

These selected students are working diligently to improve the literacy and numeracy skills of learners from Kindergarten to Junior High School.
The Management of the College also realized a deficiency in teaching and learning materials in the school, especially at the Kindergarten level and promised to support.
Under the Leadership of Very Reverend Kwesi Nkum Wilson (PhD), the College’s principal, managment has generously donated the various promised materials to address some the issues.
The donated items include pencils, erasers, exercise books, cardboard, markers, paper glue, cutters, phonetics books, and many more essential supplies.
On the 31st of July, 2023, the Vice Principal, Mr. Theophilus Kweku Bassaw, along with the Head of the Early Grade Department, Mr. Paul Arkoful, presented these materials to the Basic School on behalf of the principal and the entire Management team.

In a brief speech before the presentation, Mr. Theophilus Kweku Bassaw stated that the College is committed to supporting its practicing school and ensuring its academic excellence.

He emphasized the College’s focus on the Early Graders, acknowledging that the developmental period between kindergarten and primary school is crucial for grasping important concepts that will pave the way for successful future endeavors.
Mr. Paul Arkoful also urged the teachers of the school to preserve and care for the donated materials to ensure their longevity.
He emphasized that these materials should be utilized effectively to benefit the children and contribute to their academic progress.

Madam Esther Marfo, the Assistant Headteacher, received the donated items and expressed immense gratitude to the Management of the College for their generous contribution.
She assured them that the school would take excellent care of the materials and ensure they are used purposefully for the benefit of the learners.
