On June 24th, 2023, the students and management of Komenda College of Education attended A-Day Ghana Grows Youth Agricultural Event organized by the Springboard Road Show Foundation at the new examination center of the University of Cape Coast.

The event was aimed at clearing misconceptions about agriculture and encouraging young people to venture into the agricultural sector.

The initiative, which is a collaboration between the Springboard Road Show Foundation and the Master Card Foundation, attracted several dignitaries, schools, and associations. Traditional leaders who are well-versed in agriculture also graced the occasion.

The Principal of Komenda College of Education, Very Reverend Kwesi Nkum Wilson (Ph.D.), the Vice Principal, Mr. Theophilus Kweku Bassaw, and two other tutors were among the management members in attendance.

The Springboard Road Show Foundation provided transportation for the students to the event grounds. During the program, there were group sessions on various topics such as interviewing and agriculture.

Two of Komenda College of Education’s finest students, Moses Coleman and Nana Ama Adofo, both fourth-year students, were privileged to join the discussion session to share their perspectives on agriculture.

The Springboard WOW moment was a highlight of the event, and two students from Komenda College of Education won prizes. Emmanuel Otoo, a level 400 student, won a Samsung A14, while Beatrice Ofori, also a level 400 student, won a snail nest of 20 snails.
