The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has reversed its decision to require students to pay 70% of their fees before the start of the first semester examinations.
The new policy now stipulates that students need to pay only 50% of their fees before sitting for their exams.
The change in policy was announced in a release by the Office of the Registrar on April 4th, 2024.
The decision came after intense advocacy by students who had raised concerns about the financial burden placed on them by the previous 70% payment requirement.
