We have received numerous messages from trainees who are expressing their concern over not receiving their share of the four-month allowance recently disbursed by the Students Loan Trust Fund.

This prompted us to investigate the causes behind this issue by reaching out to SLTF and some allowance liaison officers for more information.

Based on the information we have gathered, it appears that a significant number of trainees had inaccurately provided their details, resulting in the rejection of their information by the system and subsequently, their non-payment.

However, it is important to note that their funds are indeed available with the trust fund and will be made accessible to them once they provide their correct details to their coordinators for uploading into the system.

Furthermore, we have been informed that some trainees were ‘repeated at a level’, and such students who are now in level 400 are no longer eligible to receive their stipend.

This is because their allowance period ended with the 2021/2022 academic year. It is crucial for these students to be aware that they will not receive any allowances for the 2022 academic period.

It is vital for trainees to ensure the accuracy of their personal details, as any incorrect information will lead to the rejection of their data and subsequent non-payment of their allowance.

We urge affected trainees to promptly provide their correct information to their coordinators to resolve this issue and access their rightful allowances from the Students Loan Trust Fund.
