In an official letter released by the National Executive Council (NEC) of the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) on 24th July 2023, trainees have been eagerly informed that disbursement of their allowances will kick start soon.
The TTAG leadership expressed its pleasure in confirming that the allowance payment has been confirmed and is scheduled to be disbursed this week.
They assured eligible Teacher Trainees that the allowance for three months will be included in this payment.
However, the NEC of TTAG also conveyed an important piece of information regarding a reduction in the allowance component for Trainees.
Stating that, based on a request from PRINCOF to the Ministry of Education (MoE) during the previous academic year, the allowance has been decreased to GHc 149.00.
This adjustment is made to supplement the feeding of Trainees, and it will become effective from this academic year onwards.
Despite this reduction, the TTAG leadership extended its heartfelt appreciation to all trainees for their unwavering patience, commitment, and support throughout the fight for the Teacher Trainees allowance.
