Tertiary students today are faced with many unexpected eventualities such as natural disasters, injuries and accidents.
These sometimes render them hopeless and helpless with their futures in jeopardy, most especially when there are financial constraints.
This has pushed the formation of Insurance Awareness Clubs and Projects across Forty-One (41) selected tertiary institutions in the Country, including Komenda College of Education, to enlighten learners to partake and have insurance cover in other to have cushions during ‘disasters’.

On Friday, 24th June, 2022, The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), in partnership with the Insurance Awareness Coordinators Group (IACG), National Insurance Commission (NIC), Ghana Insurers Association (GIA), Insurance Brokers Association Ghana (IBAG), National Association of Ghana Insurance Agents (NAGIA) and Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (CIIG) embarked on this future securing campaign to Komenda College of Education, to educate the Learners on the need for insurance.
Main Objectives
The project which was dubbed “Think Future, Think Insurance”, held at the College Complex Hall was ultimately to clear the misconceptions and doubts majority of tertiary learners are having about insurance, as well as deepen their knowledge about the concept of insurance as a tool of financial intermediation.
insurance Awareness Club
As part of activities to ensure there is smooth communication between the Team and the school, an insurance awareness club was formed. The motive is to ensure frequent flow of education on the need for insurance cover for learners in the college.

It was indeed a massive and thorough Education on insurance. The event was successfully climaxed with Networking and refreshment.
