GES Releases Key Information on BECE Results and SHS Placement

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the release of the 2024 Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) results for Senior High Schools.

According to the GES, out of the 569,095 results received from the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), 451,797 candidates qualified for placement.

In a statement, the GES revealed that it has identified a few errors in student selections during the placement process, leading to some students not being initially placed.

Additionally, 10,898 exam papers were withheld due to examination malpractices during the marking process.

Self-Placement Option:

In cases where students are not matched with any of their choices from the automatic placement system, they will be redirected to the Self-Placement Portal.

Here, students can provide their region, residential preference, school, programme of choice, and submit the form.

They can then print the form and visit the chosen school to begin the admission process.

It is important to note that schools selected on the Self-Placement Portal can be changed as many times as needed until enrollment in a school.
