In related news, President John Mahama has directed that this year’s Independence Day celebration be held at Jubilee House as part of efforts to cut government spending amid ongoing economic challenges.
The 68th Independence Day celebration will be held under the theme “Reflect, Review, and Reset.”
According to Felix Kwakye, the spokesperson for President Mahama, the theme “fits into the general tone in the country at the moment considering the way that the elections have gone and the consensus that there is among all shapes of opinion that our country needs a reset actively reflects in the theme that has been chosen.”
