Graduates from the 2022 cohort of Colleges of Education have formally submitted a request to the Minister of Education, urging the immediate facilitation of their postings as teachers.
This appeal comes as these graduates have successfully cleared their outstanding National Teaching Council (NTC) licensure examination results that had previously prevented their deployment.
In a letter addressed to the Honourable Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, the graduates congratulated him on his appointment and conveyed their hope that his leadership would usher in a period of “hope and transformation” for the Ghanaian education system.
The letter outlined that the 2022 graduates, having completed their Degree in Basic Education, were initially ineligible for posting due to the pending NTC examination results.

However, with the successful completion of the resit examination, they are now fully qualified and eager to begin their teaching careers.
“We are willing to accept postings in any location and are committed to teaching and contributing to the educational sector in Ghana,” the letter stated.
“Notably, the Ministry of Finance released financial clearance for our batch in 2024. Therefore, all that remains is for the portal to be opened, enabling us to complete the necessary processes and take up our teaching positions,” they noted.
