The Youth In Need Ghana Foundation is calling on exceptionally brilliant students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds to apply for their 2025 scholarship.
This golden opportunity provides full tuition coverage, accommodation subsidies, and book allowances for three to six years, as long as students maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.25.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a Ghanaian citizen aged 14-20 years
- Come from a background of extreme poverty (limited family income to cover educational expenses)
- Achieve an aggregate of 9 or better at the WASSCE
- Receive an admission letter from a public university in Ghana as a regular student
- Be differently abled (students with special needs) or have a parent with a disability or mental health condition
- Not currently receive support through any other scholarship scheme and pledge not to accept any while on the YIN Ghana Foundation Scholarship

The scholarship supports various undergraduate courses, including:
- Law
- Nursing / Midwifery
- Political Science
- Engineering
- Economics
- Business Administration
- Environmental Science
- Medical Laboratory
- Education
- Medicine
- Pharmacy
- Theology (Trinity Theological Seminary Only)
Special concessions will be given to students with special needs.

Application Process
To apply, candidates must complete the application package, including:
- Two most recent high school terminal reports
- WASSCE result slip
- Birth certificate
- Letter of recommendation
- 500-word essay on why you need support\
- Any other supporting documents (e.g., parents’ payslip, death certificate in case of parents’ death)
