The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has announced a significant reduction in the initial percentage of school fees required for course registration for the 2024/2025 academic year

This new development was confirmed by the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the University in a statement released on February 25th, 2025.

“We are pleased to inform you that the management of the University of Education has reduced the percentage of school fees required to be paid before course registration from the initial percentage to 40%,” the statement read.

The SRC emphasized that this adjustment aims to ease the financial burden on students. The statement released stated clearly that the change “aims to support students in managing their financial obligations.”

The SRC has urged students to take advantage of this new development by making timely payments before the commencement of their mid-semester exams.

“In light of this development, the SRC encourages all students to make timely payments before the commencement of mid-semester. Prompt payment will ensure seamless course registration and avoid any last-minute complications.”
