The 2022 BECE Questions will not follow previous year’s Pattern

The Basic Education Certificate Examination(BECE) is the main examination for both certification and selection into Senior High Schools and Technical Institutes in Ghana.

Candidates in the third year of Junior High Schools approved by the Ghana Education Service are eligible to register to take part in this examination.

The results of the examination is based on Continuous Assessment and the external examination.

The Continuous Assessment forms 30% whilst the external examination forms 70% of the total assessment

The Ghana Education Service under the Ministry of Education has made it known that this year’s examination questions will take a new format and pattern .

Here are some of the New changes to expect pertaining to the 2022 BECE Questions.
  1. The examination will not follow the same pattern as it used to in the previous year’s examination.
  2. Every District ‘May’ get its own unique questions with every centre and candidate having different Questions/Mixed.
  3. Each District and Candidate’ s questions will be of the same standards.
  4. No student will be able to ask the friend the answer to the question that he or she can’t answer because the questions for each student may be different or the numbers will not be the same.

Meanwhile, the BECE timetable for 2022/2023 examination has been released and the examination starts from Monday, 17th October, 2022, and ends on Friday, 21st October, 2022
