The Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education-Ghana (PRINCOF) has extended its heartfelt sympathy and support to all those affected by the recent flooding caused by the spillage from the Akosombo and Kpong Hydro-Electric Power Dams.
In a letter dated 26th October 2023, PRINCOF expressed that they are deeply concerned about the loss of properties and homes, and the disruption of teaching and learning, as some schools have been adversely affected by the situation.
PRINCOF therefore appealed to the Ghana Education Service to adopt emergency remote teaching approaches used during the COVID-19 pandemic to mitigate the loss of teaching hours.
Adding that, they are hopeful the flood will subside soon to allow for normal life to resume in all affected areas.
