The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the immediate revocation of all appointments and recruitments of teaching and non-teaching staff who have yet to be placed on the national payroll.

The directive, issued February 17th, 2025, follows a letter from the Office of the President dated February 10th, 2025.

According to the GES statement, released from its headquarters in Accra, the revocation is in accordance with a directive from the Chief of Staff.

The statement, signed by the Acting Director-General Prof. Ernest Kofi Davis, was addressed to all Regional and District/Municipal/Metropolitan Directors of Education.
