Anum Presby Senior High School (ANSEC), a mixed boarding and day institution in the Eastern Region, has issued an urgent plea to the Ghana Education Service (GES) for the immediate recruitment of teachers to address a critical shortage in key subject areas.
In a letter dated March 11th, 2025, addressed to the Regional Director of the GES, The Headmistress, Mrs. Stella Naa Enyo Atiase, outlined the school’s pressing need for teachers in Chemistry, Physics, Integrated Science, Core Mathematics, Government, Physical Education, and Accounts.

Mrs. Atiase explained that the shortage resulted from the recent departure of several teachers, who vacated their posts and traveled outside the country.

She warned of the potential impact on the students’ academic performance, emphasizing the critical nature of this issue.
In the appeal, Mrs. Atiase stated, “We respectfully request your assistance in providing teachers in these subject areas as a matter of urgency.”
She called on the Ghana Education Service to prioritize the recruitment efforts to ensure students’ education continues smoothly.
