The University for Development Studies (UDS) has issued an official statement regarding a misleading video that has been circulating on TikTok.

The video falsely alleges that UDS students enter examination halls with pre-prepared answer sheets.

UDS categorically refutes this claim, asserting that it is both baseless and damaging. We categorically refute this baseless and damaging claim,” said Abdul-Hayi Moomen, Director of Public Affairs for UDS.

Our university upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and operates under stringent examination policies to ensure fairness, credibility, and transparency.”

The university prides itself on the rigorous academic training its students undergo and the closely monitored examination processes in place to maintain the institution’s hard-earned reputation.

UDS believes that the false allegation is not only an attack on its integrity but also an attempt to tarnish the reputation of its students, faculty, and the university as a whole.

“This false allegation is an affront to our integrity,”Moomen continued. “We demand that the producers of this defamatory content immediately retract the video and issue an unqualified public apology. Failure to do so will leave the university with no choice but to take legal action to protect its image and uphold its credibility.”

While acknowledging the power of digital media and encouraging content creation, UDS calls on digital content creators to exercise ethical responsibility.

The university emphasizes that the right to create and share content comes with the duty to ensure accuracy, fairness, and respect for others’ reputations.

Misinformation and sensationalism can have serious consequences, especially for institutions like ours that thrive on credibility,”Moomen explained.

“We urge creators to verify their claims before publication and avoid content that spreads falsehoods or damages reputations.”
