The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the reinstatement of staff members whose recruitments were recently revoked, a move intended to streamline its payroll database.
This decision follows an earlier communication dated February 17, 2025, that directed the revocation of all staff recruitments (both teaching and non-teaching) made after December 7, 2024.
In an official letter addressed to regional directors of education, GES has outlined the necessary steps for the validation and reinstatement of these affected staff.
“Management of Ghana Education Service (GES) requests all affected staff to have their recruitment validated and reinstated in order to clean up the database of all recruited staff on the GES payroll,” the letter states.
According to the letter, a three-member committee, comprising the Regional Human Resource Officer, Regional Internal Auditor, and Regional Accountant, has been tasked with overseeing the validation process.
