The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the provisional results for the 2023 Nov/Dec West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private candidates.

Examination Statistics
- A total of 17,389 male candidates and 20,725 female candidates sat for the examination.
- The total number of candidates also includes 16 visually impaired candidates.
- Out of the registered candidates, 1,231 were absent from the examination.

Examination Malpractice
- The results of 289 candidates suspected of various forms of examination malpractice have been withheld pending further investigation.
- Malpractices ranged from collusion to impersonation and bringing unauthorized materials like mobile phones into the examination hall.

- Candidates are advised to access their results online at https://ghana.waecdirect.org/
- WAEC warns candidates against falling prey to scammers promising result upgrades for a fee.
- The Council emphasizes that all results are stored securely in its database and can be authenticated by institutions and organizations.
How to Check Results
1. Visit the WAEC result portal at https://ghana.waecdirect.org/
2. Enter your index number.
3. Select the Examination type (WASSCE Private).
4. Choose the Examination year (2023).
5. Enter your date of birth (day-month-year).
6. Provide your voucher card serial number.

7. Enter the PIN found on the voucher card.
8. Re-enter your index number.
9. Select the Examination year once more (2023).
10. Click the Submit button and view your results in the subsequent window.
