The Institute for Teacher Education and Continuing Professional Development (ITECPD) at the University of Education, Winneba, has announced the suspension of the proposed 20% increase in examination fees for colleges affiliated to the university.
The decision was made during the 11th regular meeting of the ITECPD Professional Advisory Board on Wednesday, 3rd April, 2024.
The board deemed it necessary to suspend the implementation of the fee increase until further consultation can be carried out.

The initial letter conveying the proposed fee increase was issued by the Finance Officer of UEW on 8th February, 2024.
However, following the recent decision by the advisory board, the implementation of the fee increase has been put on hold until further notice.

The suspension of the fee increase aims to provide an opportunity for further consultations and discussions on the matter.

As of now, there is no specific timeline provided for the resumption of discussions or the potential implementation of the fee increase.
