The Ghana Education Service has approved the introduction of Tug of War and Pillow Fights at the Pre-Tertiary Education level.

According to GES, the decision is a step towards promoting physical activity and nurturing young talents in the student community.

To ensure a smooth integration of these sports into the school curriculum, the Physical Education (PE) & Sports Unit of the various schools and the federation are urged to collaborate effectively.

This collaboration is to enable effective planning and organization of programs that aim to identify and nurture young talents. And to also ensure that the initiatives are implemented without any disruptions to the regular teaching and learning periods.

Management of GES has requested the Regional Directors to inform all relevant stakeholders about this development.
