The Technical University Senior Administrators’ Association of Ghana (TUSAAG) has declared a nationwide strike set to commence on Monday, January 8, 2024.
In a press release, TUSAAG stated that the industrial action is aimed at emphasizing their demand for full adherence to the conditions of the roll-over of the retirement date, as stipulated in the relevant sections of their Conditions of Service.
The statement outlined that the strike will result in the complete cessation of all administrative and professional services, including those for both new and returning students.

Additionally, services will be withdrawn from all units, sections, departments, faculties, centers, directorates, halls of residence, finance, ICT services, physical development, facilities maintenance services, and other main and general services at the offices of the Vice-Chancellor, the Pro Vice-Chancellor, and the Registrar.
The National Executive Council (NEC) of TUSAAG also affirmed that the strike will continue until the conditions of the retirement date roll-over, as detailed in the Conditions of Service, are fully implemented by the Management of all Technical Universities.
The association’s communication concluded by instructing all members to take note of the strike and act accordingly.
