Programs Offered by St. Louis College of Education

St. Louis College of Education offers various programs, including B.ED. Early Grade Education, B.ED. Upper Primary Education, and B.ED. JHS Education.

Admission Requirements

To gain admission to the College of Education, applicants must meet the following requirements:

For B.ED. Early Grade Education and B.ED & Upper Primary Education:

WASSCE Holders: CREDIT (A1-C6) in Six (6) subjects comprising Three(3) Core subjects, Including English Language and Core Mathematics, and Three (3) Elective subjects relevant to the course of study.

SSSCE Holders: CREDIT (A-D) in Six (6) subjects comprising Three core subjects including English Language and Mathematics and Three(3) Elective subjects relevant to the course of study.

For B.ED. JHS Education:

a. Languages Education:

WASSCE Holders: CREDIT PASSES (A1-C6) in Six (6) subjects comprising Three (3) Core subjects, including English Language and Core Mathematics, and Three (3) Elective subjects, including Literature in English and Ghanaian Language (TWI).

b. Home Economics Education:

WASSCE Holders: CREDIT PASSES (A1-C6) in Six (6) subjects comprising Three (3) Core subjects i.e. English Language, Core Mathematics, and Integrated Science, and Three (3) Elective subjects, i.e. any three (3) of the following:

  • Clothing and Textile
  • Food and Nutrition
  • Management in Living
  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • General Knowledge in Arts (GKA)

Note: Candidates who are still awaiting the results of the 2023 WASSCE can also apply for admission.
