Second Semester Re-Opening Date for Level 100 Teacher Trainees

The first-year teacher trainees in the 46 Public Colleges of Education have successfully completed their first semester and are currently on a well-deserved vacation.

This vacation is to allow them to relax, catch up with family and friends, and recharge before commencing academic activities for the second semester.

According to the academic calendar, the second semester is scheduled to commence on July 16, 2023. This period would run for 12 weeks and would be packed with a range of academic activities aimed at equipping trainees with the necessary skills and knowledge required to be effective teachers.

Throughout the second semester, trainees will be exposed to different courses. These courses designed to help them gain a better understanding of the teaching profession, the diverse learning styles of their students, and the effective methods to communicate complex concepts to their learners.

After the end-of-second-semester exams, which are set to hold in the fourth week of September, first-year students would vacate their various campuses on October 6, 2023.
