Reporting Date For College of Education Freshers and other Essential Details


The National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education, PRINCOF, has confirmed that all freshers are required to report to their respective campuses on Monday, January 15th, 2024, in order to begin their level 100 first semester activities.

Freshers are urged to ensure punctual arrival between the hours of 7am and 5pm on the aforementioned date.

This timeframe will facilitate the necessary inspection of their belongings, as well as allow for smooth registration and allocation of halls of residence.

Therefore, freshers are to esnure they report to their college with all the necessary documents and items listed in their prospectus and admission letter.

It is important also for freshers to note that their college life officially begins upon their arrival on campus.

To aid in their transition, the various colleges will organize an orientation service for them a few days after their reporting date.

This orientation will acquaint them with the college’s facilities, resources, and academic expectations.

After the orientation, the freshers will commence their academic activities, which will span across a period of 14 weeks.

Following the completion of their coursework, they will then sit for their end-of-semester exams from April 8th to April 19th, 2024.

Once the exams are concluded, freshers will break for the semester on April 21st, 2024.

This vacation period will last from April 21st to May 31st, 2024, giving them an ample time to recharge and prepare for the next semester.

They will then resume on June 2nd, 2024, to commence their second semester, which will also last for 14 weeks.

The second semester will conclude with end-of-semester examinations scheduled from August 26th to September 6th, 2024.

The academic year for the level 100 students will then come to an end on September 7th, 2024, marking the completion of their first year at the College of Education.

Freshers are encouraged to make the necessary arrangements and ensure they adhere to the reporting date and academic schedule for a successful start to their college journey.
