The government has announced the recruitment of 11,000 personnel across various security agencies, including the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), Ghana Police Service, Ghana National Fire Service, Ghana Prisons Service, and the National Narcotics Control Board (NACOB).
The recruitment drive, which is set to begin this week, will focus solely on clearing backlogs of previously submitted applications. No new applications will be accepted.

The breakdown of the recruitment is as follows:
Ghana Immigration Service (GIS): 3,000
Ghana Police Service: 4,000
Fire Service: 2,000
Ghana Prisons Service: 1,500
National Narcotics Control Board: 500

Financial clearance has been granted for the recruitment process.
However, it has been decided that no advertisements will be placed in national newspapers inviting applications.
