The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released an official statement regarding a revised date for the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
Initially, WAEC had confirmed the schedule for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) 2024 and the WASSCE for School Candidates 2024.

However, there has been a recent adjustment in the WASSCE date as communicated by the Ghana Education Service and accepted by the Council.
The new date for the commencement of the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2024 is now set for August 5 to September 27, 2024.

Meanwhile, the timeline for the BECE (School Candidates and Private Candidates), 2024 remains unchanged, scheduled from July 8 to 12, 2024.
All students and stakeholders are advised to make note of these modifications to the examination schedule.
