The Mount Mary College of Education (MMCE) held its 15th Congregation and Graduation Ceremony on September 20th, 2024, for the second batch of the B.Ed programme.
This year’s event, themed “Making a Lasting Impact as a 21st Century Educator through Partnership and Networking,” saw 386 students graduate from the various B.Ed programmes offered by the college, with an impressive display of academic excellence.
Classifications Of Class Of Honours
The ceremony witnessed the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and academic rigor.
The graduation statistics highlighted the academic achievements of the students, with 20 students receiving First Class honours, 236 students graduating with Second Class Upper honours, and 112 students earning Second Class Lower honours.

Notably, there were no Third Class or Pass students among the graduates, showcasing the high standard of education at the college.

Valedictorian
Master Vicent Akor, a student from the MUSIC/RME class of the social science department, was recognized as the valedictorian for his exceptional academic performance, achieving a CGPA of 3.77.

The ceremony was attended by a host of dignitaries, including the Most Rev. Emmanuel Kofi Fianu, SVD (Catholic Bishop of Ho Diocese), Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Afrifah-Agyekum (Catholic Bishop of Koforidua Diocese and governing chair of the College), and Dr. Charles Douglas Opoku Fordjour, who served as the Guest Speaker.
