Moses Coleman emerged the best graduating student at the 14th Congregation of Komenda College of Education held on 12th September 2024, with a CGPA of 3.82.
Moses attended Shama Catholic Junior High School before gaining admission to Shama Senior High School to study Business in the year 2012.
After completing high school, Moses applied to the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) in 2016.
He was offered admission to pursue a 4-year Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) program in the Faculty of Social Science Education.
However, due to financial constraints, he could not pay the admission fee and had to forfeit his admission for the 2016/2017 academic year.
Driven by his passion to become an accountant, teacher, or pastor, Moses decided to try again in 2019, this time at a college of education.
He was accepted into Komenda College of Education to pursue a 4-year Bachelor of Education (Upper Primary Education) program.

During his time at the College, Moses excelled in his studies, demonstrated a strong work ethic and dedication to his chosen field.
Beyond his academics, he immersed himself in leadership roles, showcasing his commitment to serving his peers and the wider community.

Moses also served as a Supplementary Educator at Komenda College Practice Basic School, an initiative led by the college principal, Very Reverend Professor Kwesi Nkum Wilson, in 2023. Additionally, he was a member of the Training and Development Unit of the College.
He was widely known for his outstanding character and integrity. He consistently demonstrated honesty, empathy, and respect towards his peers, tutors, and the community.
As a reliable and responsible individual, Moses successfully balanced his academic pursuits, extracurricular activities, and personal life.
He genuinely cares about the well-being of others and actively seeks opportunities to contribute to social causes.
He initiated Assai Hill News, which aimed to showcase the college and its activities globally. Assai Hills News has now transformed into KOMENCO Media.

Moses was also the Chairman of the Committee that oversaw the formation of the Upper Primary Education Students’ Association of Komenda College (UPESA).
During the Covid-19 era, Moses emerged as a beacon of hope for his colleagues as the college transitioned to online studies.
He took it upon himself to assist his fellow students, educating them on how to navigate the Learning Management System (LMS) and other essential tools.
His dedication and efforts contributed to the success of the online learning experience, ensuring that no one was left behind.
In recognition of his meritorious service, Moses was awarded the second-best Student Personality of the year by the National Students’ Awards (NSA) in 2021.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Moses is the founder and publisher of Coleman Publications, an online Education News Blog that has gained significant popularity.
When delivering his Valedictory Speech, Moses revealed, “I embarked on my academic journey with a singular aim: to become a better person for myself, my family, and society. Therefore, I always gave my best in whatever task I was assigned. I am grateful to God for this honor.”

Moses also expressed his sincere gratitude to the tutors of the college.
