The flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama, has pledged to reinstate automatic employment postings for nursing students upon graduation, and waive tuition fees for incoming students.
During his campaign tour of the Ahafo Region, Mahama addressed nursing students from the College of Nursing and Midwifery in Ntrotroso, assuring them of better times ahead and promising to complete abandoned hospital projects to create more job opportunities for health professionals.
“We’ll restore automatic posting so that when you graduate, you’ll be employed as quickly as possible,” he asserted.
Mahama also urged the students to safeguard their voting cards and vote for change in the upcoming December 7 elections, emphasizing the need for a 24-hour economy.
“Make sure you keep your voting cards well and on December 7, vote for change and vote for the 24-hour economy,” he expressed.

The chief further said: “They are not asking for something new; they want a third-party audit. If the Otumfuo sends chiefs to audit me, I won’t allow my own kinsmen to investigate.”
The former President shared his vision for the Ahafo Region’s potential growth in agriculture, mining, and forestry sectors, promising to empower farmers, create jobs, and provide quality healthcare through various policies and interventions if elected.
