Komenda College of Education has held its semesterly students’-staff consultative meeting on the 12th April, 2024 at the Robert Mensah Complex Hall.

Chaired by the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) President, Master Emmanuel Addo, the event was attended by the Principal, Very Rev. Professor Kwesi Nkum Willson, the Vice Principal, Mr. Theophilus Kweku Bassaw, Deans, Heads of Departments (HODs), and both teaching and non-teaching staff members.

The purpose of the gathering, as explained by Madam Sophia Efua Cobbinah, the Dean of Students’ Affairs, is for students to meet with the principal and staff members, ask questions, seek clarifications, and contribute their thoughts on what happened throughout the semester.

The meeting aims to provide students with a clear understanding of college matters and foster communication within the college community.

In his address, the Principal, Very Rev. Professor Kwesi Nkum Wilson expressed gratitude to God for a successful semester.

He described the semester as one of the most successful semesters ever.

Very Rev. Professor Kwesi Nkum Wilson encouraged the students to make the most of their six-week break by engaging in profitable activities and shared websites where they can take short courses online.

The principal also informed the students that the ATVET Department of the college has been tasked with organizing an international exhibition for the next semester, urging students to prepare themselves accordingly.

Additionally, he reminded students to ensure they have paid their fees in full before the start of the second semester in June.

The principal also took the opportunity to thank both staff and students for their hard work and professionalism throughout the semester.

Following his address, the forum was opened for students to express their concerns, which mainly consisted of questions, suggestions, and appeals.

Respective staff members took turns addressing the students’ concerns, providing answers, promises, and clarifications.

The students expressed their satisfaction with the opportunity to voice their grievances and thanked the college authorities for implementing the students’-staff consultative meeting.

The meeting concluded with a sense of accomplishment and a stronger sense of community between the students and staff members of the College.
