Here is the latest Update on the CETAG’s Strike

In the latest development concerning the ongoing strike by the Colleges of Education Teachers Association, Ghana (CETAG), the National Labour Commission (NLC) has summoned the association to appear before them on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.

However, CETAG has responded, stating that they will be unable to honour the invitation on the specified date.

CETAG has explained that their leadership is currently scattered across different parts of the country, engaged in various assignments. Therefore, it is practically impossible for them to travel back to Accra immediately.

Despite this, the association has assured the NLC that they are committed to abiding by the law and will appear before the commission on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. This additional time will allow them to adequately prepare for the hearing.

In response, the National Labour Commission has communicated to CETAG that the proposed date of August 15 does not align with their working schedule, as they do not hold hearings on Tuesdays.

Consequently, they have requested CETAG to appear before them on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 11:00 am.
