The Ministry of Education has announced the release of the 2024 Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) results for Senior High Schools and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Institutions.
Out of 563,339 students who sat for the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) exams, 553,155 qualified for placement. A significant majority of 447,698 (80.93%) qualified candidates have been automatically placed in one of their preferred choices.
However, 104,918 qualified students could not be placed in any of their selected schools. The Ministry has placed 73,390 (13.27%) of these students in schools similar to their original choices, offering them the option to accept or reject the placement.

Students who reject the recommended school can utilize the Self-Placement platform to select a school of their choice. The total number of students placed in schools currently stands at 521,088, representing 94.20% of qualified candidates.
The Ministry advises students who were not placed to visit the Self-Placement platform and select a school.
They are also reminded that they can change their school selections on the portal as many times as they wish until they formally enroll in a school.
