The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued a directive for all Heads of Second Cycle Institutions to strictly adhere to the items listed in the National Harmonized Prospectus for First-Year students.

This move is aimed at ensuring uniformity in the items used by students in the senior high schools.

According to the GES, the National Harmonized Prospectus should be used from the 2023/2024 academic year.

The directive is also part of GES’s efforts to streamline the admission process and ensure consistency across all the Senior High Schools.

In a release dated 4th December 2023, the GES stated that Regional Directors of Education are expected to communicate this directive to all Heads of the Second Cycle Institutions within their jurisdiction.

It is emphasized that any Head of school who fails to comply with the directive will face sanctions.

The GES again urged all stakeholders to support the initiative in order to create a level playing field for all students entering Senior High Schools.
