The Ghana Education Service (GES) has taken swift action against the headmistress of O’Reilly Senior High School, suspending her with immediate effect due to an allegation of unauthorized collection of money.

In a release made on 6th December, 2023, the GES stated that it had come to their attention that unauthorized monies were being collected as part of the admission process at the school.

As per the GES Code of Conduct, the headmistress has been directed to step aside while an investigation is conducted.

She has also been instructed to hand over all school property to the Municipal Director of Education, Ledzokuku, who will oversee the school during her absence.

The GES has made it clear that any unauthorized collection of money by school officials is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
