The Management of the National Service Scheme (NSS) has disclosed that the government has released funds for the payment of arrears on allowances for National Service Personnel (NSP) who have completed their one-year mandatory national service.
These arrears will encompass the period from January 2023 to May 2023.
According to the NSS management, the payment of these arrears is scheduled to be completed by Friday, December 8, 2023.

Furthermore, the management also conveyed that the arrears for June 2023, as well as the allowances for October 2023, will be paid subsequently.
The management also commended the service personnel for their patience regarding the delayed payment of these allowances and arrears.
They assured the NSP that every effort is being made to facilitate the prompt disbursement of the remaining allowances owed to them.
