The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the formation of a Technical Working Team to address outstanding salary-related issues affecting its staff.
The team, formed in collaboration with the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD), will focus on resolving issues like salary reactivations, responsibility allowances, and salaries for new entrants.
In a letter to all Regional Directors on 19th August, the GES acknowledged the impact of these salary discrepancies on staff morale and productivity.

The management stated their commitment to resolving these issues, assuring staff that the team is working diligently to address most of the outstanding issues by the end of August and September 2024.
“Management is assuring all affected staff that the Team is frantically working to address, if not all, most of the outstanding salary-related issues by the end of August and September, 2024”
The GES expressed gratitude for the continued commitment and hard work of its staff.
