In a related development, the Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) has urged its members to refrain from performing any official duty should the colleges reopen without their demands being met.
CETAG resumed their industrial action on January 2, 2025, demanding the full implementation of their National Labour Commission (NLC) Arbitral Awards.
The association has made it clear that its members will not return to official duties, including teaching and supervising project work, until their demands are met.

The ongoing industrial actions pose significant challenges to the smooth start of the academic year for colleges of education across the country.
PRINCOF remains hopeful that these issues will be resolved swiftly to ensure that academic activities can resume as planned.
